BIG NEWS: Zainab is officially represented!! They signed with A3 Artists Agency this past winter. She's extremely excited to be working with such a wonderful team and is looking forward to what's to come!
2021

Zainab had so much fun playing Christmas Past and other characters in The American Shakespeare Center's 2021 production A Christmas Carol directed by Stephanie Holladay Earl. The show will ran from December 10th-December 30th.

Zainab's been writing, dancing, gardening, and performing princess duties for children around the DMV area. She's also completed another commercial for the Human Rights Campaign. Check it out here!

Watch out: props master incoming! Zainab recently had the exciting opportunity of working on the indie movie For The Taking as the props master. It was a new and invigorating experience- she's never worked as a crew member on a film set before! They learned so much- not only about props, but about film production in general. Zainab cannot wait to apply all the lessons and tips to their work. Stay tuned for future film projects!

Zainab has been able to tap back into their love of performance by participating in socially distanced princess parties with Once Upon A Time Parties D.C.! It's an opportunity that came to them by surprise, and they've come to love bringing joy to the children who have been changed by the events of the last year. Zainab currently portrays Brandy's Cinderella (from the 1997 Rodger and Hammerstein movie), the "Bayou Princess", and "The Little Mermaid". More information about the company can be found here!

In February, Zainab participated in The Masked Collective's "Love Etc" virtual Valentine's Day cabaret! The performances featured original music by new theatre artists, and Zainab was able to sing two wonderful songs by dear friends.
The Masked Collective was birthed during quarantine, working to bring highlight new works while "finding a new way to facilitate and participate in live performance". If you would like a link to the one hour performance, please contact Zainab directly. More information about The Masked Collective can be found here!
2020

The pandemic has thrown a curveball into 2020. Though every plan Zainab has made for 2020 has fallen apart, she's thrown herself into new projects: writing, redecorating, building a garden, braiding her own hair, and completing her pharmacy technician training! There are so many things they never thought they'd accomplish and yet this year has allowed them the tine to do so.
This year has not been without its frustrating and terrifying moments, and those moments would have been unbearable if not for the love and consideration of others. So Zainab wishes you the best, all the love and consideration and support and peace in the world. And, most importantly right now, she wishes you good health.

Zainab joined The Creative Mind Group's Sundance 2020 program. She interned with Brilliant Consulting at Chase Sapphire during the Sundance Film Festival and helped set up panels and after parties for featured movies. The connections they made only encouraged them further to work hard in this field and put their voice forward. She is so thankful for this experience and is excited to share the work it has inspired in her in the future!

Zainab attended the A1 Conference in NYC on Thursday, January 16th, 2020. She's excited by the relationships that came from it and the opportunities that will come in the future.
2019

Zainab graduated from James Madison University in Decemver 2019. During her last few months there, she wrapped up a commercial with the Human Rights Campaign. Check it out here!

The summer of 2019 was spent as an acting apprentice at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. Zainab performed in two Directing Intern showcases, two readings of new works, participated in a writing workshop series with Mona Pirnot (Kilroy's List 2019), served as Jesse Tyler Ferguson's dresser on Grand Horizons, and took on the role of a basketball player in Before the Meeting, directed by Trip Cullman. To sum it up, she had a blast!
